Glimli

Swipe up or down for brightness and sideways for another color. A tap opens the menu with effects, sleep timer, sounds, sunrise and child lock. The menu fades away by itself after a few seconds.

Glimli already goes darker than your display normally can. For the absolute minimum, turn on Settings › Accessibility › Display & Text Size › Reduce White Point. Add it to the Accessibility Shortcut to switch it with a triple-click of the side button.

While the light is on or a sunrise is set, Glimli prevents auto-lock. When the sleep timer ends or you turn the light off, your device locks as usual.

Set your wake-up time, leave Glimli open and connect your charger. The screen stays black all night and slowly glows from deep red to warm white before your wake-up time. Glimli wakes you with light only. Keep your usual alarm as a backup.

Yes. Ocean, rain and noise keep playing and fade out gently with the sleep timer. They mix with your music or podcast instead of interrupting it.

Replace the harsh flashlight on your Lock Screen with Glimli: touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize, choose the Lock Screen, remove the flashlight and add the Glimli control. Glimli also fits into Control Center and, on iPhone 15 Pro and later, on the Action button (Settings › Action Button › Controls). Siri understands “Hey Siri, open Glimli”.

Tap the lock in the menu and Glimli ignores every touch. To unlock, hold anywhere on the screen for three seconds. To keep children inside Glimli entirely, use Guided Access: Settings › Accessibility › Guided Access, then triple-click the side button.

Glimli shows an even surface and hides all controls so nothing burns in. For a whole night we still recommend the sleep timer and a low brightness.
